Under the EU Tacis Programme, Tourism Development International was commissioned to prepare a Regional Tourism Policy for the ST. Petersburg region of Russia.
The Regional Tourism Policy set out a framework for the development of St. Petersburg as a cultural tourism destination embracing the North West region of Russia and developing appropriate Institutional linkages. Opportunities for the development of cross-border tourism were also identified.
