formed a strategic alliance to offer a fully comprehensive business planning
service for to the worldwide tourism and leisure industry. The combined
expertise of the two organisations offers a broad portfolio of services

particularly for the accommodation sector through the Hotel
Diagnosis branded product.

Sustainable land use planning for tourism development. This alliance is with Ferguson
McIlveen, a leading firm of planners, architects, engineers and landscape
architects with offices throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom. The concept
of market-led sustainable land use planning is a vital planning tool in the responsible
development of tourism projects and destinations.
Webtourism
Webtourism is a joint venture
between between Automatic Netware
and Tourism Development International. The initiative combines the strategic tourism
planning, marketing and research capability of Tourism Development International
with the e-business consultancy and e-enabling capability of Automatic Netware.
It has been established to provide integrated e-business solutions to tourism
and related enterprises,
concentrating on business operations, marketing & sales, research and training
in the internet context.

The company has
a permanent professional staff who are specialists in
a number of relevant fields, including Marketing, Market Research, Product Development,
Strategic Planning, Finance, Transport, and Management Organisation. Additionally,
the company draws on an expert panel of consultants with wide and varied experience.

Michael
MacNulty
Executive Chairman
Michael Mac Nulty is internationally recognised as an authority
on tourism marketing, product development, cultural heritage
and organisational structures. The experience he amassed in
the eighties as the leader of Ireland's National Tourism Organisation
and as Vice-Chairman of the European Travel Commission has
laid the foundation for the success of Tourism Development
International in the nineties. His skill in persuading the
Irish Government to identify tourism as a priority growth
sector has been greatly admired and put to good use in his
consultancy career. His consultancy vision is the preparation
of strategies which are practical and implementable. He has
a formidable track record as a team leader on international
projects funded by the E.U./U.N.D.P/World Tourism Organisation
and in communicating with decision makers at the highest level.

Peter
MacNulty
Managing Director
Peter MacNulty was appointed as Managing Director of Tourism
Development International in January 2001. Prior to taking
up this position he held the position of Research Director.
In this capacity he was responsible for establishing a full
service research capability for the company. Since joining
the company in 1988 he has been responsible for the direction
of over 100 major feasibility studies, business development
plans and market research programmes.
He has directed tourism and leisure projects in Ireland, Britain,
Europe and Asia. His experience has given him an understanding
of the main markets that have driven Ireland’s thriving
tourism industry.

Robert
Travers
Director – Public Sector Consultancy
Robert Travers joined Tourism Development International in
1997 from Northern Ireland Tourist Board where he was Marketing
Development Manager. From 1985 to 1990 he was Tourism Manager
at one of Ireland’s most popular visitor attractions,
Powerscourt Estate. Robert has extensive experience in conducting
studies for the tourism industry in Ireland and overseas.
He is responsible for Tourism Development International’s
public sector business, and recently completed the Rural Tourism
Master Plan for the Western Development Commission, and a
tourism training mission in Armenia.

David
MacNulty
Director – Private Sector – Accommodation/Leisure/Marketing
David MacNulty is a Director of Tourism Development International
since 1990 having previously spent 12 years in the hotel industry
at management level in Ireland, USA and Switzerland. He has
extensive experience of conducting consultancy assignments
in Ireland, the UK and Europe, relating to accommodation and
leisure. David has been marketing advisor to many of our major
private sector clients working closely with the Irish Tourist
Board on overseas promotions.

Allen
Director
Ron Allen is the recently retired Chairman and C.E.O. of Delta Airlines Inc, Atlanta,
U.S.A. A former Chairman of I.A.T.A. he is recognised as a leading authority on
world aviation. He is also a Board member of Coca Cola Corporation, Smithsonian
Air and Space Museum, Washington D.C., and Chairman of the Board of Governors
of Presbyterian University, Clinton, South Carolina. |

P. Delaney FCA
Director
Niall Delaney is former Chairman and C.E.O. of the Mace Group.
He has extensive financial control experience in Asia, Africa,
Europe and was a former financial executive with Unilever. He
is a mountaineer and has climbed Mt Kilimanjairo in Africa and
has strong interest in eco-tourism. |
