ANA Aeroportos de Portugal has appointed Tourism Development International to prepare an Assessment and Product Development Action Plan for Hiking and Cycling for the Algarve.  The goal of the project is to contribute to the increase in the number of tourists attracted to the Algarve region by a new range of differentiated products in the off-peak season. The resulting Action Plan identified clear ways of improving the product and service design, service and experience delivery, communication and promotion, and distribution.
